Why It's Important

It’s been fantastic to see the community come together and explore their shared heritage, and also creating an invaluable record for future generations.

This project has at long last given a voice to the women and men, to share their stories of how the power of love has contributed to the rich diversity that we enjoy in Nottingham today.

We Must Speak to Be Heard

Social Awareness

Friends of the project have shared just how they’ve been empowered by The Colour of Love. The project provides a platform for Mixed-race people, and those in interracial relationships to explore their experiences within the political and social framework that has previously not provided a space for their distinct voices. We create a safe space where people can share and explore their heritage, while also preserving it.

About Community

We celebrate and empower Nottinghamshire Mixed-race communities. We do this by platforming interracial Black and White relationships, and the social education that stems out of the personal experiences borne out of them.
